  • Check in/out circulating and reserve materials in all formats.
  • Assist with placing materials on course reserve.
  • Book library items and rooms.
  • Provide patrons with a wide variety of informational assistance concerning library services and policies. In the absence of the reference librarian, provide basic reference assistance. Refer requests for complex reference assistance to reference staff.
  • Assist patrons as needed in the basic use of computers, printers, photocopiers, scanners, etc.
  • Assist patrons with the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • In the absence of the Reference staff, assist in supervising student assistants. Model excellent customer service skills for the student workers.  
  • Coordinate with the Access Services Coordinator and Circulation Assistant to accomplish routine circulation tasks, such as processing holds or maintaining stack areas by shelf reading, straightening, or shifting shelves in circulating collections.
  • Shelve books for Circulation as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining the appearance of the Regina Library circulation area.
  • Assist the Late Night Reference staff with closing procedures at the designated time.
  • Participate in working extended late night hours at the end of the semesters.
  • Process books for circulation including generating and affixing labels, covering materials and adding security strips, as needed.
  • Perform building checks inside and out as scheduled, and report any maintenance issues to the Library Director.
  • Help with routine tasks, and perform other related duties, as assigned.



9 pm-12 midnight Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (9 hours/week, 15 weeks/semester)            

*During the weeks of midterm exams, finals week and the week prior to finals, these hours will be extended an hour as the library stays open until 1 a.m. Monday-Thursday.
